Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport have teamed up with V8 Supercars reigning champions, Triple Eight Race-Engineering, to ensure the best equipment is in our hands. Powered by Holden’s 5.0litre V8 motor and producing 640 brake horsepower, they’re anything but circus lions. In fact, expect the Triple Eight-engineered Commodores to be even quicker than the outgoing VEs of 2012.
For years the Commodores were hindered by an aerodynamic package inferior to the Fords. But with the VF comes an all-new wing package that is set to make an even more formidable opponent out of the Commodores. The clearest indicator is the rear wing – it is no longer supported by twin stems at the back but instead attached to each side of the rear end.
